Geo 2.5 Pro Rooftop Tent

I've had my eye on this tent for a few years now and finally decided to upgrade the older rooftop tent. Very glad I did. One of the main reasons for the upgrade was to store the bedding inside the tent -- having to pack it all up every morning was an annoyance and the bedding took up valuable space in the 4Runner. So this is real nice. The set up and tear down is super easy and fast. It's also nice that we don't need to find a really big spot for the tent to fold out like the previous tent. Overall, I love it.

Couple of bits of feedback --
the mattress is just meh. Immediately replaced it with my exped, which is way more comfortable.

Originally installed on the roof with the two sets of mounting brackets, but the tent/rack rattled like crazy, so added two more mounting brackets and some carpet squares where the tent meets the rack and the rattling is gone. I think supplying at least three mounting brackets would be better. Four would be ideal.

Overall though, it's a great tent. Solid. Hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Love our roof top tent. After doing endless research, this tent hit every box of having something long enough for me to sleep in,(since I’m 6’2”) not being too heavy, and t slots for hanging others things like an awning. This is such a high quality product and everyone that I have dealt with at intrepid has been top notch for customer service. Great product and company, the only negative I have is that I wished they made more products so I didn’t have to buy from another company!

I have had the geo 2.5 for about a year now and slept in it for about 40 nights. it is the only tent I would consider. The dual hinge opens the entire tent up but allows it to be in a somewhat compact package. You get a large picture window, skylights and there are a lot of tabs and places to hang accessories which allows you to customize the tent easily. This has allowed me to install lights, tabletop, and a fold up bench inside. The entire tent only takes about 90 seconds to fully setup and you done have to worry about installing prop rods so Set up and take down is quick and easy. The only thing that gives it a 4 star would be a mattress. It’s not too bad but some mornings you can wake up a bit sore from it.

This tent is high quality and looks great. It was easy to mount on my truck. I look forward to camping in it this fall with the boy scouts

I’ve had this tent about 2 years now. It’s spacious and comfortable. Lots of headroom. Nice viewing area. Took a 9 day camping trip and felt refresh every morning. I do recommend to get the insulation kit. It takes comfort to another level.

Looking forward to more camping adventures with this tent.
